Hailing all the way from Southwest Atlanta, Georgia, Shedrion has a combined experience of almost a decade in the behavioral health field. She received her bachelor’s (2016) and master’s degree in Social Work with concentration in Clinical Social Work (2018) from Thee University by the Sea, Savannah State University. Shedrion has interned and worked at various levels care (being inpatient to outpatient) and in various capacities (being case manager, counselor, intake specialist, clinic manager, peer educator) of treatment. While working in a counseling capacity in medication-assisted treatment, she received her full certification as an internationally-certified master’s level alcohol and drug counselor (ICADC-II) from the Alcohol and Drug Abuse Certification Board of Georgia and the Georgia International Certification & Reciprocity Consortium in 2022. Since 2014, Shedrion had been dedicated to bettering the lives of others, uniquely instilling hope unmatched to that of any other helping professional, pushing the bounds of typical behavioral health treatment and advocating for client needs to promote stability. She is also a strong advocate of self-care, creating a healthy balance and stress inoculation, so on the weekends, you can find her engaging in “Self-Care Saturday” such as, getting a massage, an outing with friends or family, playing with her dog, online shopping, getting a manicure, etc.
