Christina Ozelis, MSN, PHNP

Christina Ozelis is a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner here at Etowah Recovery Center. Before becoming a nurse, she was a mental health counselor and university instructor on Long Island, NY for several years before changing careers. She did her BSN at Emory University and after, worked as a nursing director for several years at local facilities before finishing her PMHNP MSN at Duke University. She has over 15 years of experience working in mental health and substance abuse treatment and in the past, has specialized in animal-assisted therapy and school-based therapies. In her spare time, she enjoys cosplaying, riding horses, singing, and doing agility with her therapy dog, Gunther.
