With a Master of Social Work degree from Clark Atlanta University, specializing in Health & Mental Health, Tamia’s academic foundation complements her practical expertise in the field. Her career began at Lakeview Behavioral Health Hospital in Norcross, GA, where she served as a Counselor I, adeptly conducting psychological assessments and developing personalized treatment plans.
At Etowah Recovery Center, Tamia’s approach to therapy is marked by empathy and evidence-based practices, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Motivational Interviewing (MI). She believes in empowering clients to discover their strengths and navigate their paths to recovery with resilience and determination.
